i thnk the on board footage shows a much greater sense of excitement Symon.
the "karting fever" idea you mention Ben is good.what id hate to see though is really edited highlights.karting is fast flowing with many place changes and its hard enough to follow whats going on without having to contend with a race thats been shortened through editing
also, if your covering an event,sometimes the action isnt always in the final,its in the heats but they never get shown!
a lot of the karting rogrammes ive seen try to please all and in doing so im not sure they please anybody
what id like to see from a camera/picture point of view is not just two cameras showing the whole circuit from a distance.id like to see some really interesting shots(low down,near the apext of a corner for example)that are good to look a and convey the excitement and speed of the racing.there cant be too much expense added to putting some really well placed static cameras in place can there?
how about a feature of a top line driver every series,not just asking the bog standard questions but getting into the drivers head.what are they doing with the kart,how do they go about a race,how did they get to the point they are at now etc.
