Be fair John - there were only 4 cases reported. yes - 3 were in respect of Karters but one of those went in favour of the driver and he was reinstated. Two up for foul language/bad behaviour is still two too many and in both cases it seems the parents were as bad as the kids. You would probably see similar, if not worse, at many kids football matches but they would not get the same publicity. This in no way condones this type of behaviour but lets keep it in perspective. Ours is a highly regulated sport and many karters are out for anywhere between 24 and 40+ races a year. In a fast close racing sport there is far more chance of being penalised than even something like F1 where it is only the first corner or two when the cars are close enough for contact to be made (and look how often it is)
