�35 or �40? - I think I maust be going to the wrong circuits !! No only joking _ I don't do it for the money at all - that's just a few bottles of wine later in the week !! I do it because my whole family are usually involved in one way or another.
One thing is for sure ,judging by this thread is that maybe it is more course marshals rather than flag marshals that are needed to clear on circuit incidents quickly but getting good experienced volunteers for any club meet is always a problem I think . The new marshal licensing/registration thingy with the MSA may help - that may also improve marshalling standards as you do need people who know a bit about what is required. Clubs could perhaps do more on marshal training that might increase their pool of people - just an idea
