My guess is that not 10% of you will BOTHER to write to your MP about it...... and that is EXACTLY why Dunkewell has this problem and other tracks will have problems in the future!!
In this case you are well wide of the mark in your statement and clearly know nothing about the Dunkeswell case. I will go so far as to say that NO OTHER UK CLUB would have had the resources to carry this battle to the point now reached. This problem has been on going for over 2 years and has cost many thousands of pounds just to maintain the current activity and the club and its members have 'got off their backsides in great numbers, but the problem still exists. The outcome of our case may well have very serious implications throughout motorsport should the case be lost to the protesters, who are after all only playing with the local councils money to fight the action not their own so on the face of it have nothing to lose.
As in my previous post, a very robust case in our favor has been delivered with all of the very best expert opinion available together with the very best barrister in our corner but at the end of the day it will still rest on the opinion of just one man, the Judge. Its unfortunate but that's just the way our system works, one person can destroy the enjoyment of hundreds.
