I get what your saying, but its there for everyone to be done so no one is gaining an advantage from it so i dont see the problem. And as for the esses at clay i completely disagree about it makes it easier for less skilled drivers, cause it does not! Them kerbs through the chicane have to be hit in a certain way to make it effective, its not as simple as just riding over them otherwise i would completely agree with you, and iv driven more laps round clay than most people before and after the changes.
As far as im concerned i think the rule should you can only have 2 wheels over the white line as soon as four wheels are over you have left the track. (this fair point does make the exit to the first corner at kim illegal at the first corner) BUT like everything we as drivers push limits and will use every bit of circuit avalible to be fast, thats just the mentality of it all. For example at kim all they have to do is have grass before the barrier or somthing similar and no one will touch it, fact is its tarmac its unfortunate that the white line is not on the so called "run off" but its quicker so you do it. (please dont call it cheating because it really is not cheating) cheating is cutting a corner with four wheels (which is very very rare)
Il give you an example of one track that tried to immplement this rule. Buckmore Park, oviously as most people know one of the most technical tracks in the country. why? because if you dont use the kerbs correctly you wont be fast, its something that makes the track such a joy to drive.
Anyway one meeting there they were doing exactly what you cant do, and said the track is in between the white line anyone who consistently uses more will be excluded, soo they excluded people gave points etc. This ended up in protests and races staying in formation for the start of a race because they said it was ridiculous.
Rule should be - only 2 wheels over the white line 3/4 of the kart basically, which to be honest IMHO is all that is needed.
