Jeff my sympathies. I was punted of on the same corner (at full pelt) during the earlier hours of Sunday morning by a youkart driver. It ended my race also and meant a trip to A&E, several x-rays and a ct scan. Unfortunately, I have a fractured vertebrae in my neck and a crushed one in my lower back as a result of the off. Luckily no permanent damage and I�ll be back to normal in around 8 weeks.

Agree with comments about the level of bumping at the event, especially as it is supposed to be a non contact sport. It�s unfortunate that some drivers felt that bumping people off (cheating) was an acceptable way to gain advantage rather than using driving skills.

Fare play to the Daytona team, they did an absolutely fantastic job and only have so many pairs of eyes. A huge thanks to the Daytona team!
