OTK brake bleed help pleeease!?

Recently flushed through old crappy brake fluid n changed for brand new silicone brake fluid from paul carr as recomended, bled n bled n bled was half decent but not the same as it was before, so tonight after doing a session last sat lifted the kart up n un done the bleeder n sprey of bubbles came out so nipped up and same with the other side, and then bang! brake was bang on exactly where it was before like 1/2 inch travel, then after a top up few pumps without resevwa caps on went TOTALLY soft so repeated bleeding n its bit better but no were near what its suppose to be?....could the seals have gone? maybe i didnt nip up plugs tight enough n let small amount of air in? should i buy a bleeder kit to do it properly!?
