Ahhhh.... THAT was the reason I didn't win much! It wasn't because I was a rubbish driver, it was just because I over complicated things!
(I wish it was but I am sure it was BOTH reasons..... plus others!)
I take your point but karting is a SPECIAL sport! There is less 'science' involved than in other motor sports. My suspicion is that is only because so LITTLE 'science' has been APPLIED to it!
We both known that 'chassis design' is done by the 'seat of the pants' in karting but that's NOT the case in other motor sports. It has always seemed to me that most manufacturers don't have a CLUE about what is happening to (for example) their 'stub axle angles' in corners as they simply make NO effort to measure/record it! If they DID, we'd see different designs there. We can be CERTAIN the Mclaren know EXACTLY what is happenng to THEIR front uprights for the WHOLE race!
