There is a bit of a deja vue going on here.
A track runs events and there are no noticeable incidents.
Super 1 event comes to a track and in the club events running up to the Super 1 there are suddenly lots of incidents at what is usually considered a safe track.
Clay track was blamed for the incidents but for the rest of the season, there were very few incidents on that first left bend.
Draw your own conclusions from that, but mine is that Super 1 is the common factor here.
Just for the record for those who dont know, Clay has now built a tarmac run off at the first bend to give karts a chance to stop before they hit the barrier. It seems to work based on comments from people who have had to use it.
Also Clay has moved the start line down towards the first bend, it worked at the turkey trot but there were fewer entries so we shall see how a full grid goes in 2 weeks time.
