i dont think standing starts are the answer, and wanting the first corner to be taken as slow as possible is not the answer. Soon everyone will be told your not allowed to race until your through turn 1. The problem is that the feild in heats is mixed with fast and slow drivers, the faster who have to make as many places as possible in the early laps when the field is bunched to contend with rivals. In my experience, when the driver on pole leads at a reasonable pace, (NOT A CRAWL), on the run up to the line then nails it at his random point it strings the field a just little and the first corner TENDS to be better. Iv been in starts where pole has crawled up to the line bogging engines and bunching the field and had my chassis wrote off in huge pile ups
