Not a servant and I have NEVER been accused of being civil!
I've been self employed (or unemployable, you choose!) for 30 years.... (Christ, it doesn't SEEM that long!)
Also, when you have WORKED for civilservants, you will KNOW that they NEVER notice a recession. This will be the THIRD (or even FOURTH!) that I have lived through.
So.... haven't YOU seen a downturn in YOUR trade?
Can YOU afford to REDUCE your margins when the sales numbers have dropped AS WELL? If so, I suspect YOU are the one who hase ben WILDLY overcharging during the GOOD times! Because the REST of us can't!
Also, anyone trading 'non-uk' stuff has been hit by the VAST jump in the cost of imports when the pound PLUMMETTED!
Be SENSIBLE.... kart traders are SUFFERING like all the REST of us at the moment... more so in many cases simply because they are in a 'discretionary spending' trade. Nobody HAS to buy karts!
Give them a BREAK! If YOU can still afford to race at ALL in a recession, then you really ARE doing well.... most can't..... hence the drop in trade most of the kart traders will be feeling.
Moan about prices in the GOOD time.... have a bit of empathy when the S*** it's the F*N!
