My speciality around here is to take an alternative view.... so.....
I suspect that if you already KNOW about driving (which you may do!), then you'd be better spending your �1,500 on stuff that REALLY makes you faster.... like driver training and/or 'bum in seat time' and/or (in Rotax) one of the NON 'standard' motors.
Next... I'd spend some of that money racing at other tracks where you will meet a wider range of driving skills than at a single track. That will gratly improve your performance.
I am NOT arguing that data logging is a waste of time for most people .... but don't you already KNOW much of the stuff that you will have 'graphically displayed' already?! You will KNOW why you are 'slower' from 'feeling' how you are driving.
Still.... you seem to have decided on what you want to spend your money already....
