the bottom line is if Talko cared so much. They would have got the TAG out 6 years ago at least.
They should have extended the homologation 6 years ago to allow the older chassis in with the needed safety mods. (ie bars/pods etc) aloud caster/camber kits. and they would have not been in this situation they are in now. Rotax got it right. There is no shame in copying. Simon Cowell has done it all his career and is a very sucessful man. Thing is he is aways 2nd to copy a good idea. not 10 years too late lol.
If you think about it rotax arnt all that quick making updates as they are a large company with many other ventures. So we have waited ages for a new clutch etc. However they are still faster than a smaller more nimble company like talko........go figure that one out.
and dont get me started on talko marketing There marketing is rubbish. AT Every track (corporate or race track) they should have information about Talko/tkm, with details on how to get into karting, all focused on TKM. Its the budget class, its the logical step for a begginer so why not encourage your market to take your product. The shops will sell rotax all day long as theres more money in it, so you need to compete against them! you need a few TAG TKMS at tracks so people looking to get into karting can have a go. they can then ask questions and buy the right kit. Its so simple its annoying that talko have let a loverly class turn the way it has.
