to be fair to hooton ive been on both sides of the fence there so i know what goes on. all the marshals are on an open channel to race control at all times, if someones driving is suspect they are told to look out for it, but it is down to the driver and not the track if theres an accident, fair enough once that accident has happened the appropriate action must be taken however its very difficult in some cases to point fingers as to the cause of an accident. i was in one myself last month and had my axle snapped, everyone including the marshals said the other driver was at fault, but got in with the stewards and they said put it down to racing experience....so i dont know lol...
as for red flags, they can be accidentally be put out, divers safety is absolutely paramount and in the heat of the moment a marshal can put out a red flag if they think a driver is injured, but infact 5 seconds later they can hop out of a kart, look at it the other way, what if it was you in the kart, injured and a red flag wasnt put out? were all human, we all make mistakes, radio etticate can help a lot, for instance asking for arace stoppage and not a red flag, that way when people hear red flag over the radio they know its for real and not just someone half heartedly asking for a red flag to happen.
