Hi, Im looking at booking my ARKS test and Ive seen that some of the schools offer pre-arks training courses combined with the ARKS test. What is the general opinion of the these courses?
Ive done a couple of practice days at Whilton Mill and can get round ok and, although I dont have loads of experience, I do have an understanding of the theory about setting up a kart and have had some guidance from a friend whos been racing for a few years. So Im trying to decide if paying an extra 150 200 on top of the cost of my ARKS test would be beneficial. Im not trying to pretend I know everything already (cos I dont!) but will I gain any useful knowledge from one of these courses or are they aimed at people who have never even sat in a kart?
I realise everyones circumstances are different and different schools will vary but Id be interested in the general feedback i.e. was it invaluable knowledge that would take months/years to learn or did you think I already knew most of that stuff, I wish Id saved my money.
Cheers.
