Apology accepted -I do know that a second Clerk was expected on Sunday and was unable to attend at the last minute which probably didn't help the supervision of the circuit. It also doesn't help if the one available Clerk has to be in the office dealing with disciplinary issues or in Parc ferme dealing with non compliance issues. Drivers and teams have to take some responsibiliy too- if you or someone in your team does something that removes the only Clerk from the circuit to deal with it they aren't available to police the circuit - the only other way to deal with it is to suspend racing until they are available but last week someone was whinging on here that there aren't enough heats or laps at Hooton so that wouldn't go down too well -I am afraid unless you had half a dozen qualified Clerks,2 trained and fully competent marshals on every post-one to look each way , a track marshal and several driving standards observers you will never satisfy everyone.
