Steve - I respect your defence of Atol and I have nothing against them. We do need control fuel in these championships (unfortunately) and Atol have consistently been the cheapest or only bidder. However, it is not just rumour or conjecture when I say we have had problems with the fuel. Racing in cadets we never used all of the 10 ltr cans at one meeting and have found - rarely, that the new can does not seem to work well. We have then mixed fresh using the old can and the problem has gone away. When we ran in a team one of the other cadets was way off the pace - they drained out their tank and refilled with our fuel and their problem went away. we were both using Atol bought that day. On a more positive note I remember Atol bringing a special batch of fuel to rowrah for the cadets specifically to try and see if their fuel could have been part of the problems so many of us were having with the Tryton carbs.
