I agree that any official MSA comment or unofficial comment from an MSA official would be inapropriate on a public forum. Did anybody expect anything different?

But surely the point of a forum like this is for meer mortals to discuss among ourselves issues that we feel strongly about. If the decision makers want to lurk and get an idea of 'public' opinion and at the very least follow this up with some proper consultation then surely that's a good thing.

Frankly, half of what I say is probably complete b******s, some I'm sure would say more. But at least I care enough to contribute to the debate, IMO opinion it's a pity that more people don't pop their heads above, whatever their particular view point is and even if they only feel secure doing so anonymously.
