Hines has far too much influence on the MSA. His money means far more than everyone else in the sport. Look at the way he killed of Yamaha in the space of three months back at the end of 2001!!!
Considering the MSA introduced the flat nose rule in 2006, then to homologate the Zip nose a matter of months later makes absolutely no sense to me!! Obviously money does mean more than the health and safety of competitors to both the MSA and Hines.
I do think people are a bit thick sometimes. If you don't agree with the nose, or anything else of Zip's, STOP BUYING THEM!!! Its the only way you'll get it banned or make a difference, if a large percentage of those affected stop lining his pockets!!
And, on a semi-related note, as far as I was aware, Lewis Hamilton never drove for the Young Guns, yet Hines is always on about how he found Hamilton!! The story I heard is that Hamilton approached Ron Dennis and continued to be run by Anthony until the deal to race with Team MBM in Europe. Prove me wrong, but the bloke is a pathological liar!!
