Plotting Lateral Acceleration (and with MyTach placement, not on wrist) gives a lovely set of hyperbolae as the kart whizzes around the corners. It's sometimes difficult to differentiate understeer from oversteer when 'hiccoughs' are seen in the curves.
The MyTach records heading as well as yaw rate. These data are very useful for over-/under-steer computations; when coupled with LateralAcc.
With MyTach into RaceStudio2, I also use the maths channel to compute and show the severity of over-/under-steer.
These data are also shown on the GPS plot with BLUE and understeer and RED as oversteer.
It's important though not to get data obsessed and tune out of the car all of those 'steerage issues. Talk with your driver as to how the kart is behaving and where 'steer'age issues are problematic.
My lad enjoys a slight bit of understeer.
Like I said, the MyTach is neat.
