I have been racing in the UK this year, although 'fair' is a word I'd use sparingly (another story).
However the travelling costs have just about bankrupted me, it was a 3000 mile round trip to Larkhall. That's 4 full days in the van for 3 days racing.
So believe me if a could just pick up the life I have here and move it to the UK I would, unfortunately life is a little more complicated than that and transplanting your whole life for the sake of karting might be a bit drastic.
However, anyone want to swap houses? Idylic position in a medieval fortified village, gorgeous 5 bedroom character house and large garden, plus ultimate amount of garage space (300m2) for serious big little boys. All for under 300K.
Great schools, friendly safe neighbourhood(leave your doors unlocked). Best off roading in Europe literally on your doorstop, 1 hour to the Med, 2 hours to Spain & Andorra. Nearest skiing 45 minutes. 3 good kart tracks within 30 minutes, annual unlimited passes cost between 100 & 300. Train all day everyday. Nogaro, Pau & Ledenon for your track day kicks. Or how about doing a few Monaco style street kart races each year? Just about the only fly in the oitment is all the French who also live here lol. and that the karting regs for kids are worse than rubbish.
I'd consider anything in the UK within 30 minutes of a decent kart circuit. Maybe......
