JJR are a good group of people but, do remember, like all others in the kart trade, they want to make money (nothing wrong with that!). However, advice from other racers will usually be FREE... even if it's not so professional! Ideally, use BOTH methods (talk to professionals AND go to 3 race meetings).
Whatever else..... do NOT put your hand in your pocket UNTIL you have spend 3 Sundays at a RANGE of meetings! Many people regret buying their FIRST kart if they have nor researched it THOROUGHLY! I have yet to meet ANYBODY who as EVER said 'I wish I'd bought my firtst kart BEFORE I had seen what racing was like'. And I've been karting of over 50 years!
