I use the cheapest batteries @ 24.00 + vat.
I never have a problem and have to lend them out to people who DO have battery problems.
The key is where and how you mount them and charging routines.
They should not be mounted directly on the chassis rails as it leads to connection problems inside the battery.
The rear of the seat is best, with a foam support under the battery and a snug wrapper to stop the battery rattling around too much.
It needs to be able to absorb vibrations and mounting directly to the chassis doesn't allow that.
Charge after use and then do a regular top up in the period between meetings.
If you use a timer on your charger you can set it to just top up for 15 mins or so a day instead of constantly trickling them.
Yuasa and Varta come out of the same factory and do you REALLY think that the ROTAX logo means that they make them?
I think NOT!
Batteries don't like cold weather either.
