having read all the thread replies and being a committee member of DYKC I too would like to express my disappointment in the demise of the club and indeed MSA racing in the north east however we must respect Bob Popes decision as an owner of a business to pursue what he considers to be the best path for the future of Teesside Autodrome.Having started in non- MSA racing myself with my son a few years ago then progressing to MSA i am amazed that some of the authors within this thread are making reference to possible non-MSA future race events at Teesside being a comparison/competitively viable option to MSA racing.I would like to think I speak on behalf of all serious/competitive kart racers in stating that non-MSA "sprint" or as Ian Lawson calls them "fun" races should never be confused/compared or in any way regarded with MSA kart racing.in my opinion these races are an excellent introduction into karting for beginners, extra practice for novices,an opportunity for trying out equipment/set ups for the more experienced and a general good "fun"day driving a kart for the majority
