Super 1 should be for those wanting to maake a career out of their talents,agreed. However, I'm now not doing S1 because of the price increase. I competed 2 years ago when the fee was �90 -95 but its nearly doubled!!! We did S1 as a privateer with our own equipment in our own awning. We sacrificed almost every other area of our lives to be able to do it. The increase just adds to an already expensive weekend. If you want to be competitive but do it on a shoe string the costs for TKM are close to as follows:

2 sets of tyres (�200+)
Friday Testing Fee (�45)
Travel Costs (�100)
Hotel costs (�150)
Entry (�160)
Fuel (�50)

Total �705

If you want to go in with a team its �150 a day (ish) (�450 in total) making the grand total �1155 already before you've added in costs for Wets, sprockets, chains, accident damage etc.

How you can sit there and dismiss the fact that S1 have decided to nearly double the entry fee on top of what already is a struggle for some to put together in the first place, is beyond me.

Its disgusting and needs justification.
