i go to scotland for 3 days and look what happens LOL!!!
....the way i see it, its cr4p to increase the prices especially now, the fact that its a premier series, yes it is, but thats why you pay95 quid in the first place rather than 50 quid at a clubby, i accept that there may be an increase for the cameras,...but why cant people buy their own, after paying S1 you will get your money back after a few rounds if you buy one yourself. as for the tv coverage...yes its good for sponsors, wbut how many racers have sponsors? and would the tv coverage actually attract more sponsors in a recession anyway!!!
on the other side of things, how much do stars charge to race?
it was bought up before by john i think that s1 should only be for racers wanting to pregress up the ranks, and therefore will put more money in and have sponsors...in theory correct..but no disrespect to the racers, how many do you hink will actually make it into car racing? and take away those who think they wil be lewis hamilton, from those who have pushy parents or just race to have fun or challenge themselves...but have no chance of making a career out of motorsport and you will have a very small grid indeed....so in other words....dont pi$$ off the little guys!
finally in terms of registration and money....if you were told or had it in writing that entry fees and regs would be X amount and now they are more....then S1 are in a very sticky situation......essentially its false advertisment and you are entitled to a refund or to race at the origional rate....just like in a shop if something is priced at 40p but if at the till they try and charge you 50p you are entitled to have it at the shelf price...
..bottom line is i can see S1 loosing a lot of money over this but only the racers have the power to do anything about it by voting on their feet and bouycotting super 1 en mass
