QOT, Britain used to take a lead from the CIK and what happened internationally... but its clear that they're in a complete shambles at the moment.
In an ideal world I'd agree with what you've said, but the reality of today is that the Rotax Max generation of motors have swallowed karting whole and there's currently nothing one can do other than embrace it.
Given the demise of TKM [I know I'll be shot at for saying that... but its true]... we should look at consolidating into a smaller number of classes where drivers can race the same kit at club, national or international level.
o One cadet class [either Comer OR Honda but not both].
o All Junior [Mini-max only].
o All Senior [Rotax Max only].
In exchange for this dominant position... the MSA should act as regulator and carefully control Rotax prices, quality and parity.
