The Leatt and Valhalla are NOTHING like the Hans device...... if you bothered to look, you'd note that the Hans is (effectively) an extension of the SEAT BELT! Without the seat belt fitted tightly, the Hans device offers NO protecion WHATSOEVER!

The Valhalla and the Leatt are designed to work WITHOUT a seat belt! They thus are NOTHING LIKE THE HANs!

You BERK! In my 50 years karting, I have 'walked away from VASTLY larger accidents than these kiddies had WITHOUT a neck brace! (Flat out into the barier at Richies in a 125cc, and landing on my head form about 10 foot up at Kim, just for TWO examples!). In that time, I have seen VAST numbers of HUGE shunts where most have simply walked away! It's NOT been because of neck-braces... it's been becasue karting is INHERENTLY SAFE!

You are like the bloke who threw peices of paper out of the train windows; when asked 'why', he replied: 'to keep the Tigers away'. When they said to him.... 'but there ARE no tigers here'.... he replied..... 'see.... it works!'

Again, I ask you for something SIMPLE.....:

* SHOW me the PROOF that they work in KARTING!
* SHOW me why no Motorsport body (except south africa) has APPROVED them yet.
* SHOW me why Formula 1 drivers DON'T use them
* I know damned-all about Motor Bike racing but why don't I see Rossi using one? Does ANY GP bike racer use one (I don't know)?

Wear one if YOU want to.... just don't imagine there is ANY independent proof that they WORK!
