How often do WE agree on anything, Doink?
You have confirmed my view... the Hans is an ex=tension of the saeat belt which is designed to place the 'forces' of the helmet and head through the seat belt!
It looks to me as though the ONLY thing that the Valhalla and Leatt and Sparco devices do is to move the leverage (in an incident) applied by the base of the helmet about 2 inches further upo and spread THAT force over more of the shoulders and chest than WITHOUT one.
The leverage forces are STILL applied to the NECK albeit at a MICROSCOPICALLY less angle!
However, because the helmet stops moving 'forward' EARLIER in some potenial incidents, it LOOKS as though it applies those leverage forces when, without a neck brace, the helmet may NEVER have levered against the body in the FIRST place!
However, like all the rest of us, I am NOT an expert on this. That's why I want to see some REAL and INDEPENDENT experts on this subject give us a DEFINITIVE 'Yes' before I am happy with the device!
