We would like to publicly state that we welcome owner drivers to Daytona Lydd.

We have seen erroneous postings on this noticeboard claiming that we kicked out owners drivers from Sandown Park. This is not true.

After purchasing the company back from Octagon in 2003, we provided the circuit free of charge each month for approximately 18 months to the Sandown Park Kart Club. The Club elected to cease racing due to a lack of new entrants. Furthermore we provided the circuit to the owner driver prokart championship at a subsidised rate for three years and would have continued to do so if the championship had continued.

We are investing in Daytona Lydd. We aim to make it a popular karting venue for both hire AND owner drivers. We have continued to welcome owner drivers since purchasing the circuit from the administrators.

We hope to attract the major championships to the circuit - and hope that they will benefit from the investment we will be making over the coming years.
