Thank you Andy Cox for agreeing with my point and for speaking out as Senior member of the karting fraternity. Another posting talks of a great clean race bumper to bumper at Kimbolton, we had one of those at S1 in 177..there will be bad and good days at all meetings club or national, I have had shockers at Kimbolton and good ones, it is the nature of our sport that there will be accidents, but the drivers can help to avoid them. As for Super 1 this is my experience so far. 1. Cheats were greasing the clutch, Super 1 introduced loggers. 2. Cheats were treating tyres, Super 1 introduced parc ferme. 3. Last year John Hoyle joined and there was a marked improvement at the meetings with grid girls and live timing giving a more professional feel. 4. This year they have introduced TV coverage. 5. Nigel Edwards has joined bringing a wealth of experience and calm decision making.
It is easy to find fault in any walk of life, but the Super 1 officials are there for us they give up their time for little reward in order that we can race. So as Andy said lets look at ourselves before we criticise them. Enjoy your Karting
