Club 100 racing is fine but..... sadly, i8t really does NOT equal, personal, MSA Club racing...... in my opinion.....
It's a good place to start but it is NOT 'full karting'.....
Being Brutal... the problem with Club 100 is with the CHASSIS! Each one will have had a slightly different life. Some will be GREAT and others...... not so great.... and that's COMPLETELY out-of-your-control. The quaility of the chassis that you 'draw' by 'luck' will cont6ol whether you CAN win .... or not..... and that can be REALLY FRUSTRATING
The way in to 'Full' karting is as follows
1) Tell us where you are and your transport arrangements (can you drive?), etc.. 2) We'll tell you the nearest track and the dates of the next race weekend. 3) You then make a new Thread stating:-
'Newbie needs intro at XXX on YYY, please'
4) You will then get 2 or 3 people who offer to spend some time with you AT that race meeting. 5) You help push, carry, polish, buy teas, coffee and bacon Sarnies and you get to see what happens.... and met a collection of racers. 6 You will see ALL the possible classes of Karts and meet the sorts of people who do it. 7) You then go to AT LEAST TWO MORE RACES still helping, etc.. 8) At the end of that, you KNOW a LOT about racing, classes, costs, time, investment...... and bacon sarnies..... You should also have made some FRIENDS who will help with advice on buying your FIRST kart and how to race.
At that point, your TOTAL investment will have been for a few Teas and Sandwiches...... Do NOT buy ANYTHING ELSE until you have done the THREE meetings......
The rest is down to YOU!
