I think you'll find that Atol has been the control fuel supplier for all these years, not the oil supplier. The testing that Atol perform, is to analysis the fuel only against a standard. The time the test takes through a Gas Chromatograph machine is to detect the fuel and any hydrocarbon based additives that may effect the fuel sample. Oil is a lubricant and therefore different in its component make up from fuel. I think you will also find that over the years, there have been competitors found in breach of the control fuel sample and have been dealt with in the correct way. Unfortunately it would seem that no matter what someone or some company does to improve karting in this country, there are those who want to shot them down. Personally I think Atol should be given a pat on the back. I know that the company I work for, would not consider the testing of oils if they are only contracted to test fuel.
