I really dont know how you can say that was good coverage?
From the start of the year when the S1 series was covered by 4 cameras we now only get to see 3. Placed in the same area, meaning you have half a lap on the high camera, which has marshals posts and flags in the foreground of the shot. Also the cut point at the hairpin was appalling, like no thought had gone into how a mid shot would cut to a mid shot.
I sort of liked the idea of the magazine GFX, but while the basics are there, it really feels a little odd, in fact the whole section felt strange, having most of the screen in blank white... WHY?! Alan must stop doing the commentary at Midnight, sounded like one of those really bored late night DJs....
As for the reference to me, just shows Alan still not embracing the bigger picture. There might be 100 people who would have got the reference and to them, it would have been funny (perhaps) but to the other 90% of the audience, it would have made no sense at all..... and once again just looks unprofessional.
Picture quality still not improved from the rest of the series, blame that on the down conversion from HD to SD. I dont see why you dont just film it in DV then it will look at least half as good as some of the programmes. Motors have upped their quality recently.
The one thing that has been solved is the Sound! HORRAY! Well done.
Finally, I read on here that some of the championships were sealed at Whilton Mill, when is that on?
