Andy, only you can aswer that question. The common missconception is `time in seat` which to a certan degree is true for confidence as we all want our kids to be confident but NOT fearless. However when it comes down to racecraft the sooner the better I'd say. My problem was my lad's got the confidence but not the racecraft, you too will soon reach this point but this is where it will be harder for you.... To us Shenington is a brand new track no bad habbits to pick up, racing line everytime (almost). To you undo your lads racing line that he's been used to doing for the past few months? Making the same old mistakes over and over again but to him and you it's right but is it? I my opinon your son is getting quicker because he is getting more confident not because he's taking the faster line. Our second time at Shenny last weekend and our first time in the dry, first session in the 56's latter end of the day in the late 53's.
Finaly, Andy please pop in and say hello next time my son is looking for a friend to chase, Gabe's only 7 and can't race till next year.
