Ok..... if you want to continue.....
Explain WHY the idea that 'neck braces' saved someone in an accident whereas the colour of their underpants did NOT. Show me your EVIDENCE that it makes karters SAFER! You'll note, I asked for EVIDENCE about KARTERS.....not anecdotes!
You have a few anecdotes about them and that is ALL that you have. You chose to ignore OTHER anecdotes (e.g., my serious accidents when I was NOT wearing a neck brace with ZERO whiplash injuries so far). You chose to give value to anecdotes when people wore them but ignore that V**A*S*T*L*Y larger number of anecdotes about people who HAVEN'T worn them.
By selecting WHICH anecdotes you quote, it's clear that you are trying to turn anecdotes which are PRO neck braces into EVIDENCE but just simply IGNORE any oher anecdotes which don't SUIT you!
In the current situation where there seems to be the same LEVEL of 'evidence' about blue-underpants and neck braces, the MSA have chosen to treat them identically! They give ZERO advice about both.
You don't LIKE the fact that they treat 'advice' about neck braces as they do advice about 'blue-underpants' but that's not MY fault! The simple fact that you don't LIKE it does not make the example invalid!
Now..... tell us how YOU have the knowledge to judge that neck braces are "a good thing" in kart when the MSA remain 'unconvinced'.
Put simply, there is not (yet) enough REAL evidence about neck braces to decide whether they make things safer OR NOT! If there was, I trust the MSA to issue an 'endorsement' or a 'banning' of the product. So far, they have chosen NOT to!
In my longish karting life; I have learned to treat manufacturer's claims about their products with a heavy degree of scepticism. When they can show me evidence, I'll check it and accept it if it turns out to 'seem' to be true. When it comes to SAFETY, I will be MUCH more rigourous! And I suggest that you take the same stance, too!
Until you have EVIDENCE which is strong enough to convince 'bodies' who have people better trained than EITHER of us to judge safety, then you would be wise to treat claims of 'improved safety' about any product as you would about increasing your 'safety' by selecting specific colours of your underpants!
