When I started racing, there was a SERIOUSLY quick guy in 250 twins called "John Morrell" and he was VERY 'big boned'....... you can't be a heavy as him! He was .....err......... BIG!
I would agree what you COULD have too much overall-grip on a double decker bus (example opposite shape to a kart) as it CAN be toppled ...but ... racing karts are NOT supposed to be able to do that! The limitation is your 'build' not the grip.... If lowerinfg the CofG needs a weight reduction..........
We used to see 2-wheeling in karts on Qualifiers..... not a SOUL removed the qualifiers to go quicker..... they found ways around the hopping.... Ok, until you can find ways around the problem, then you MAY have to throw away overall-grip..... but you ARE sacrificing lap-times that COULD be obtained..... Not something that fits with the ideals of racing, though!
I am NOT having a 'go' at us fatties.... even if you are NOT one!
