Before you claim something to 'be against the law', shouldn't you find out what the law SAYS and what it makes illegal.....?
If such a thing WAS against the law, don't you think that 99% of all 'personally addressed' junk mail would be ILLEGAL too?
Data protection laws are mostly about people/companies keeping records which they are NOT supposed to keep, e.g., any criminal convictions, medical records, 'sexual' predilictions, etc..
There is NO law preventing someone handing over your name, address and interest in karting (unless that's a 'sexual prediliction' on your part, of course......). It's not even against the law if you HAVE ticked a box saying 'don't pass this on'..... it's just VERY bad practice in business.
Please stop being 'prissy'!
