the Tech takes out the factor of engine failure due to belts or chains driving the cams. It has neither and you never have to replace the timing gears.
In terms of cost its around the same as the Suter Vampire and all 3 engines have similar service intervals. With the new higher price of the Swiss Auto the difference is around 700-800 pounds, the differnce i thik is in the companies. Swiss Auto is more of a volume production with many departments in the company, Suter and Technique Engineering are both high end engineering companies with involvment in F1 and MotoGP so are probably not geared up the same way.
I have never driven the Swiss but on the Tech i got 25hrs trouble free running on mine before i stopped racing due to budget, all i did was replace the oil and change a clutch spring and it will be back on the grid next year for f6.
