I wonder where this fictional figure of 10k comes from? I remember when we started in karting people would tell me that "so and so had an engine that cost 10k" and i believed them, it suited , as an excuse for being slower! We have just won Super 1, the most i have ever paid for a senior engine is 3000, that is also the most i have ever seen one offered at. The engine which we won at Shenni on and took the title on finishing second at Wigan cost 600 from e-bay. No senior engine that is good will be 2/10ths off! sure a bad one will be, work with your engine builder to make sure yours is ok. Michael Simpson would win at Pfi on a rotax, Kf or KGP, because he is a fine driver who knows the circuit like the back of his hand not because he is paid, has 10k engines, etc etc etc. Think about it chaps, Jake Ball, Ed Brand Danny Graham, British champions in Tkm and now all front runners in Rotax, with different teams , different chassis, they still deliver, because they are good drivers. Keep your engine and spend what you can doing laps, and always enjoy it!!
