Clay Pigeon Kart Club ran their Colin Clark Turkey Trot Challenge on Sunday, during which YET ANOTHER new class of kart was launched and demonstrated.
During the past couple of months nearly all promotional activity for karting has been based around Cadet and Junior racing. The Chairman of the Clay Pigeon Kart Club understands the problems and designed a kart for the 'armchair racers' that sit in front of their computers and televisions swilling beer.
Designed by Mike Wellington and built by Derek Hunt, with parts supplied by IKEA, the Formula Armchair 320 proved to handle well in the very slippery conditions. Photographs of the kart are displayed on the Clay Pigeon Kart Club website.
This was a fun race meeting with additional tandem space hopper racing, wheelie bin racing, as well as the demonstration of Formula Armchair 320.
I have pulled some stunts over the years, but I must admit this outshone them all.
Well done Mike, Derek and all members of the Clay Pigeon Kart Club.
