david, for most guys under 30 the dipstick is behind the wheel LOL....
....for me using a team is not an option, i couldnt afford to do it, and i dont see the point for me....i just want to go out there and have some fun and find it more rewarding if i do it myself. theres no doubt that running in a team can help massively a young driver develop
karting can be very daunting to start off with, and to be honest its not the most well advertised motorsport in the world. i remember when i started 2 years ago i didnt even know most tracks existed, knew nothing about the class structure etc, and ive been in the motorsport world for 14 years spectating, marshalling, driving etc, i just happened to stumble upon this website and through some good and not so good advice i managed to get myself racing, and steer clear of other things. to me the abkc stuff is outdated in some areas, the promotion of the sport can be poor, clearer class structures need to be set out, in both msa and non msa racing, theres too many classes.
