these are the reply's i expected and hoped for. i think davidm/h has got it spot on ..
during the more popular years kart engines were so simple and could be prepped re-built by dads with average ability in your garden shed or even kitchen ( plato's dad used to re build motors up here in north east and would put crank cases in his oven to warm up ) ..
inevitably rotax has already got a mention , why is a max re build so bl***y expensive ! ok so there's a couple extra nuts and bolts but i think average rebuild costs 500 to 850 quid are atrotious , maybe there's a gap in the market for someone to price a rebuild more realisticly .
previous thread mentions the answer lies between 100cc and rotax max, very interesting . but to fnd the answer we need to now the problem .
i def agree to the sport having no promotion but that has always been the case . this is an interesting thread hope it can continue a little
