2 things...
1. Why put a curb there if you're not allowed to consider using it? As Traxter said, you either have curbs there to be used within the rules or you just run tarmac up to grass.
2. My Storm cracked during its second meeting meaning it had done less than 100 laps at Whilton. Lets be generous and say its an average 44 sec lap time in TKM if you include outlaps etc. That means it lasted 73 minutes before it broke.
Are you honestly saying that 73 minutes of track time is a reasonable amount of time for a kart to last? No matter how cheap?
Riding kurbs wasn't an issue I didn't ride any more kurbs in a Storm than I did with any other kart I've driven. This can't be blamed for the cracking. If there was an issue, with early welding and material, Intrepid / JKH sould be making all efforts to proactively replace all of the frames that have encountered issues. The situation is unreasonable.
This isnt a group of people being over-fussy about their karts cracking (we expected it with a reasonble amount of use) but not 73 minutes.
If Intrepid have recognised the problem enough to make changes to the material or manufacturing process, then surely that's enough to demonstrate they recognised the kart was not fit for purpose? They should be replacing all frames that had problems - but they're not... thats what we're all annoyed about.
