i agree with everything simon said, however the part about weights, tkm has a restrictor now so lighter drivers dont have to carry much lead and heavier drivers arent penilised because theyre heavy....so unless your 18 stone you will be fine, also in terms of grid sizes, again i disagree, yes you generally race the guy in front and behind, but decent grids are always better, the more there are, the more karts you have to race against, more advice and help youll get, and lets be honest, the more karts there are, the more chance the class will be back next year....theres no point in spending 3 grand on a kart, to race against 4 people and then the class not to run the next year due to lack of entries
like simon said tho...get down to the local track, you will be able to pick up more in an hour than a lifetime on a forum!
