no your not the only one that has a problem with it..personally i think its a load of old tosh!!!! the whole women in motorsport thing is rubbish, every female racing driver ive met, which there are a lot....drag racers, single seater drivers etc...they WANT to compete with men, why? to prove they can compete with men, and every one ive talked to doesnt want the x factor style competition, because they said it devalues and makes a mockery of what they have done in the past. i do think women are as good as men in motorsport, they are brilliant drag racers where youve got to have balls! and ive seen some very good single seater drivers, rally drivers and sportscar drivers over the years....i dont think the problem is quality, its quantity, just like british skiers V canadian skiers, the pool of talent is a lot smaller in the first place!

will this change? maybe over time, but to my mind, those women who want to suceed in motorsport will find a way of doing so, just like men, i think its wrong to promote one sex over another.....next thing you know the msa will be promoting black kids in motorsport, or disabled kids in motorsport, or gingers in motorsport....rediculous if people enjoy and want to do well in karting and are talented enough then they will do well no matter creed, colour or sex.
