free spinning on the trolley isn't the same as rolling under load.
worn bearings spin very freely but do not work very well under load
good quality bearings work as the bearing warms up, cheap bearings do not
ball bearings are not designed to take side loads so alignment is critical in setup
manufacturers choose the best grease for longevity so its tempting to replace the grease with your own choice. Once you disturb the seals you really need to look after the packing to prevent dirt ingress and slow down of bearing.
best grease for speed and lubricant are the ptfe based greases/sprays
dont be swayed by dispersant type sprays that wash out all lubricant and do nothing to support the bearings. (the best lubricant is the one that keeps the metal surfaces apart for the longest time, while remaining very stable in thickness)
