Your attitude towards these things sounds excellent..... however..... beware...

The downside of this 'look good, go good' concept is that your lad WILL (if he's any good) realise that it's hype and MAY (only may!) lose trust in you.

For me, so long as you couldn't have spent the money on things whcih DO make you go faster (new tyres, for example or, more importantly, another day's testing) then it won't do much harm top your 'team'.

However, the big 'downside' is for the Dads-and-Lads teams who can't afford the real go-faster stuff as well as 'looks-faster' stuff. They end up thinking that they are NO GOOD if they don't have the 'looks' stuff. I am posting this stuff to tell them that the Spoilers, stickers, helmet-paint job, flash body kit (et.c ad infinitum) are a total waste of money and, actually SLOW the other drivers simply because they could have spent the money on something which WOULD have made them faster.....

I FULLY endorse your right to choose..... please allow me to help those who don't have the spare cash!
