You can get the battery replaced.
It will have either a single cell or a triple cell.
You have to find out which one you have before you order it if you are going to do it yourself.
The battery is 'potted'in resin so you have to extract it from the resin while not destroying the PCB or the battery terminals.

The batteries and the one for the micron can be purchased from MDS batteries in Enfield.
They're the ones I use. The 12volt is about 97mm X 40mm X 50 so they would know which one you would need for the Micron.
You can strap in on with a couple of stout cable ties. If you have a Tony derivitive then the flat platform in front of the steering column is ideal.
