You avoided answering the question.... why would that be?

I suppose I'd chosn the one which gave the highest G rating so long as it didn't give a reduced performance from drag on the straights. Why would I chose otherwise?

I've answered your question, now answer mine. All, you have to do is to say you would NOT mind racing against someone with significantly better tyres than you can have....

It would also imply that you'd NEVER object to someone using tyre softener.... because they already have 'too much grip'.....

If you can't say YES, you'd be happy to race against team with better tyres and/or those using softener..... then I think I've proved my point that YOU don't believe you can have too much (overall) grip..... any more than I do!
